API Rail Corridor and Resource Areas

This project involved large scale archaeological surveys for Australian Premium Iron’s joint venture iron ore project from 2009 - 2011. The surveys covered a large number of different project areas; including a 300 km linear survey of a 200 m wide rail corridor, borrow pits, access tracks, rail camp, communication towers, main access road and gas spur, mine quarry, central processing facility and associated infrastructure including an airstrip and permanent accommodation village. The results of the heritage surveys were used to assist API with the strategic development and implementation of project planning processes.
